The chamber of commerce chairman Mr Xianghai Zhang, executive vice president Mr Shiyao Lu、director Mr Jianqun Xie and Mr Gang Lei、secretary Yu Sun and representatives of other donors participated in the donation ceremony.
On the 21st of December 2022, with Christmas just around the corner, in order to let all the people with economic difficulties in the state spend a merry and peaceful Christmas, on behalf of the various Chinese enterprises and individuals in Edo state, the newly established Chinese chamber of commerce actively encouraged its enterprise membership to raise 70m naira worth of Christmas supplies and sent people in need of festival care and Christmas joy. The donated supplies are local festival staple foods，mainly including rice、instant noodles、white beans and tomato sauce.

At the donation reception ceremony, Mr. Yu Sun, Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, delivered a speech in English on behalf of Mr. Xianghai Zhang , President of the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce thanked the state government for the donation reception ceremony, as well as the governor of the state and the state government for their support to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Chinese enterprises. The governor's good management and safe investment environment and the kind and friendly people have attracted more and more Chinese companies to invest and start business in the state.
At the same time, Chinese enterprises, as the important participants in the construction of Edo state and Nigeria, have not only vigorously developed the economy of Edo state,and but also created plenty of local job opportunities.

He said that Edo State is located in the transportation hub of southern Nigeria, and there are many enterprises that have set up companies here.
