Thailand Yongxing company steel rolling workshop successfully held a fire emergency drill, Improve employees' emergency handling ability

 In the increasingly busy industrial production, the workshop as the core area of production, its fire safety has become an important part of enterprise safety management. Especially in the smelting, chemical industry and other high-risk industries, the potential threat of fire accidents can not be ignored. In order to effectively protect the safety of employees' lives and property, Thailand Yongxing Company recently strengthened the fire safety management. At 18:00 on May 3,2024, carefully organized by the Ministry of Safety, successfully held a quarterly fire emergency drill in the steel rolling workshop.

 The drill aims to improve employees' awareness and response ability to fire risks, and ensure that evacuation and fire fighting can be carried out quickly and effectively in an emergency. Before the drill, the Department of Safety carefully planned the evacuation route of the steel rolling workshop, and conducted detailed evacuation route training for each employee to ensure that each employee can clearly grasp the rapid evacuation method in case of fire.

 After the drill site and the simulated fire alarm signal sounded, the staff quickly evacuated to the safe area according to the established evacuation route. The Ministry of Safety monitored the whole process of the evacuation process, and found that some employees had panic and crowding in the evacuation process, which affected the evacuation efficiency. In response to this problem, the Ministry of Security said that it will further strengthen psychological counseling and emergency training for employees to improve the psychological quality and response ability of employees in emergency situations.

During the drill, the department of Safety pays special attention to the training and practical guidance for the use of fire-fighting equipment. The staff not only learned the different types of fire extinguishing equipment (dry powder and carbon dioxide) and their applicable scenarios, but also conducted the actual operation before simulating the fire source. Through the drill, most of the employees can master the use of fire extinguishing equipment, but still show a certain degree of tension and unconfidence in the face of the actual fire source. To this end, the Ministry of Safety will increase the practical operation training of fire fighting equipment to improve the ability of employees to respond to real fire scenes.

The success of the fire emergency drill not only tested the emergency handling ability of the steel rolling workshop staff, but also exposed the lack of psychological quality and coping ability of some employees in emergency situations. In response to these problems, the Department of Safety will take a series of improvement measures, including strengthening psychological counseling and emergency training for employees, regular inspection and maintenance of fire-fighting equipment, and strengthening communication and cooperation with professional fire-fighting institutions.
