Caused an explosion of a nearby oxygen cylinder. At the time of the accident, it was the rush hour of employees, and people were concentrated on the platform waiting for the shift.

 Due to the limited safety passage, some employees were unable to evacuate in time after the explosion and fire, resulting in 19 deaths and 35 people injured and another 50 were missing.

 In view of the accident, the Safety Department of Thailand Yongxing Company actively launched rectification measures:

 First of all, the safety department has rectified the gas cylinders in the whole field, including the steelmaking workshop, steel rolling workshop, affiliated workshops, warehouses, logistics and other areas. It is strictly prohibited to store standby cylinders in the furnace table and furnace stage, and also in high temperature areas. All gas cylinders must be used in accordance with the regulations. The spacing between the oxygen cylinder and the liquefied gas cylinder shall not be less than 5 meters, and the spacing between the gun head and the gas cylinder hose shall not be less than 10 meters. At the same time, to ensure that the cylinder hose without aging, cracking and other phenomena, to prevent leakage.

 Secondly, for the prevention and management of flammable and explosive gas, the company instgas detection equipment on the LPG pipeline in the sealed environment to monitor the gas condition of the pipeline in real time to ensure that no leakage or leakage can be handled in the first time. The pipeline in the high temperature area shall be insulated to avoid the high temperature. Set up special gas cylinder storage points in each workshop to eliminate mixed storage and ensure safety. At the same time, it is strictly prohibited to store gas cylinders below the operation track of the workshop, the smelting room, the workshop distribution room, the distribution cabinet, the casting site on the third floor of continuous casting, and the high temperature area on the second floor of continuous casting. And the daily strict inspection of each area.

Finally, the security department, together with the Public relations Department, contacted the local representative offices to conduct fire training and drills for the personnel of all departments, aiming to improve the safety awareness of employees, further understand the knowledge of fire safety, and enhance the ability to deal with emergencies. At the drill site, most of the employees can quickly organize and deal with fire accidents, and the head of the rescue team can effectively organize evacuation, alert and fire fighting operations. At the same time, the security department publicize the importance of fire safety.

During the exercise, the team cohesion of the staff was improved, and the organizational ability, command ability and emergency response ability of the emergency leading group were also exercised.
